One thing that’s common to all of us, whatever status we hold, is we are each given 24 hours in a day. Each differs on how one handles every hour and minute. While some will find their hands full, others seem to have all the time to do just anything. The former needs time management more than the latter.
When you have a lot to do, though, that’s when you wish there are more than 24 hours in a day. You’ll tend to sleep less than what’s healthy, cutting your life shorter especially because you don’t give your body time to repair itself.
When you find yourself slowing down naturally, it’s a signal you have to heed. Listen to your body. Do some analyzing and thinking. Pause, but don’t just quit, especially if you know that what you’re doing is beneficial. Pausing will give you some breathing space.
The times you haven’t seen me at Bloggerluv, I was just pausing.
Nicely put, there is many a time when I’m trying to get more than 24 hours in one day, but relaxing and taking time out, just helps me get my brain and body back in gear for the following day
Yes, we all want to do more than is feasible. Sometimes we simply must learn to adjust our unreasonable expectations of how much we can cram into any given 24 hours day – or make that VERY clear to others!
Very nicely written. It’s sometimes hard not to just bolt when things get tough, but that’s often when one is ready to make the most positive moves.
Great reminder! I’m definitely cutting back on those 72-hour days.
That’s funny, I was actually just thinking about how much time I have on my hands…I seem to be the only organised one of my friends right now, so while they’re rushing their final projects and have no time for anything, I find myself gazing into space a bit too often…But I have to agree, this ‘pause’ is very nice indeed :’)
I would love to do an interview. e-mail me if you are available at any time.

Pause. I like that better than “take a break”. I wish I had heard that a lot more in my life. Too often a break turns into a hiatus, and a hiatus turns into quitting. Life and work take time. Pause takes me back to my Nintendo days too…great post!
